Brad MunizBrad E. Muniz, Member of the Firm and Director of Accounting and Auditing at Sobel & Co., serves small businesses and individuals in the areas of accounting, auditing, tax and business consulting. Brad has over 20 years experience in the areas of financial reporting, tax compliance and planning for closely held businesses, SEC registrants, non-profit organizations, and strategic business planning. Brad utilizes his expertise to ensure that the quality of all Sobel engagements exceeds the client expectations while complying with American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), SEC and GAO requirements, in addition to other industry guidelines. 

Brad has been appointed to the 2008/2009 New Jersey Society of CPAs (NJCPA) Board of Trustees and is also the Chair for the NJ CPA-PAC and the Vice-Chair of the NJCPA Chapter Operations Committee. He has served on the NJCPA Sports & Entertainment, Young CPAs, Personal Financial Planning, Accounting Educators & Students, and Government Relations committees. A member of the NJCPA since 1991, Brad has served Trustee of the NJCPA and as president, vice president, treasurer and director of the Morris/Sussex Chapter. Brad is a member of the AICPA and the Financial Planning Association. He also has served as a member of the National Association of Accountants and as chairperson of its Bergen/Rockland Chapter’s Membership Committee. Currently Brad is serving as a member of the PKF North America Network CPE Committee. He is a member of the Board of the New Jersey chapter of RMA and has served as an Adjunct Professor of Accounting at William Paterson University and the College of Saint Elizabeth.  

Brad has also served on and acted in advisory capacity to numerous non-profit boards. Brad brings his financial and organizational acumen to help direct those organizations. Recently, He has advised organizations about the impact of Sarbanes-Oxley type regulations (independence and audit committees) on the organizations. In his community, Brad served as a member of the Parsippany Troy Hills Zoning Board and has served on the Lake Parsippany Property Owners Association’s Board of Directors as president and treasurer and Knoll Country Club Golf Advisory Committee. He also has served as treasurer of the Raoul Wallenberg Foundation, as a director of the Playwrights Theater of New Jersey, a trustee of the Katherine Gibbs Business School and as a member of the Morris County Council on Aging, Disabilities, and Veteran Services.

Brad holds a B.A. in Accounting from William Paterson University.
