Elihu Katzman, a Member of the Firm of Sobel & Co., brings more than thirty years of experience in the practice of public accounting to serve the firm’s clients.  He services individuals and family-owned businesses as their most trusted advisor with a depth of experience in tax and business consulting.  Elie also adds value to his clients and to the legal community through his experience with planning and compliance for estates and trusts.

Elihu is a Certified Public Accountant in New Jersey and is a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Public Accountants.  He has served as a member and as a chairman of a number of committees of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants.  He participates in many philanthropic endeavors, including serving on the boards of a number of charitable organizations such as Jewish News (a major publication where he is a Past President), United Jewish Community, Mental Health Association of Essex County and the Jewish Community Housing Corporation, a nonprofit organization that maintains independent and assisted living facilities throughout New Jersey.  He is also a former faculty member of the Center to Promote Healthcare Studies.

Elihu Katzman received his Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut.  He has also attended graduate studies in law and business.  He was awarded the Gold Medal for the highest grade on the CPA exam by the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Elie and his wife reside in Livingston, New Jersey.
