Cindy Duffy has been at Sobel & Co. for more than twenty-nine years. Her long tenure at the firm is due, in part, to her passion for the firm, its clients and the staff as well as her willingness to tackle whatever challenge comes her way. Her career began in the firm’s administrative department and from there she advanced to her current role as manager of daily operations.
Cindy has overall responsibility for all the day-to-day activities of the firm, including payroll, receivables and payables, equipment maintenance and other critical functions. The administrative staff report directly to Cindy and she is able to ensure a smooth work flow as well as contribute to a culture that supports and nurtures all of the employees at every level.
Through the years she has won the trust and respect of the leaders of the firm and is included in all strategic planning meetings and is highly valued for her objective perspective and unique approach.
Today’s accounting firms are evolving into organizations that depend on a strong infrastructure, which includes a new focus on administration, human resources, technology and marketing. With this in mind, Cindy’s role is critical to the efficiency and profitability of the firm.
Cindy is a member of the Association of Accounting Administrators and participates in the PKF North American network administrators’ group, sharing and learning best practices from her peers.
Cindy and her family reside in Bloomfield, NJ.
