Barbara Semple, a senior manager, joined Sobel & Co. in December 2006. Previously she had been with the public accounting firm Shachat & Simson in Clark, New Jersey where she started her career in 1985.  Barbara has provided auditing and accounting and tax services to small and medium size closely-held businesses for more than 20 years, with a specialization in the retail sector, the insurance industry and with professional service firms.

Barbara is a graduate of Douglass College, Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She is a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Barbara is involved in community activities and is a member of St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church. Her hobbies include golf, choir and volunteering in a variety of different programs in her community.

Ms. Semple resides in Union, New Jersey with her husband and two children.
